When asked why East Beach, Wayne Brown will tell you, "I'm a neighbor." After moving to Ocean View in 1979, Wayne was excited about the opportunity in the community and has lived there ever since. He is a natural for East Beach, and shares the passion for the area and for quality workmanship and construction.

His love of building began as a part-time hobby while he was part of the ODU faculty teaching real estate and finance. He began remodeling and building homes in his free time and soon left teaching to build full-time. That was more than 23 years ago.

Since then, he's been building homes in the area while focusing on the renaissance of Ocean View. He has served as his civic league's president and has been a member of the Norfolk Planning Commission, the NRHA Board of Commissioners and the Mayor's Committee on Ocean View.

Wayne believes in the philosophy of East Beach, a close-knit neighborhood built on integrity and quality craftsmanship.
