Stuart Buxbaum continued the legacy started by his father, a builder and developer in Norfolk in the 1940's and 50's, when he became a builder. Stuart's son, Ed, joined him at S&E Builders, Ltd. after graduating from college with a business management degree. Together, they continue the family tradition of personal commitment to quality, custom homes. They take great pride in the hands-on approach they give to each client, and their years of experience show in the craftsmanship of each home.

They visited and studied a number of neighborhoods with similar design concepts as East Beach and loved what they saw. They eagerly joined the East Beach Guild, ready to bring the coastal village vision to life in Norfolk. With the setting on the Chesapeake Bay, they recognize that East Beach will be more than a neighborhood; it will be a way of life.

And considering Stuart's father was building houses near the East Beach site some years ago, the Buxbaum family feels right at home.
