At East Beach, we recognize that life isn’t simple for everyone. That’s why we support charities that work to improve the lives of people in our community and around the world.

In December 2006, we held the First Annual East Beach Holiday Home Tour to benefit Hope House Foundation. We’re in the process of building a St. Jude Dream Home® to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and hope to raise more than $1.1 million for St. Jude. In 2005, we raised more than $25,000 for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of South Hampton Roads with home tours of the 2005 Coastal Living Idea House in East Beach. In addition, we’ve sponsored annual polo matches to raise money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and other charities.

Also in 2005, East Beach was the site of the Tidewater Builders Association Scholarship House, and East Beach Company LLC was a major sponsor. The scholarship funds are generated from the annual volunteer construction and sale of a special scholarship house from private donations.

Hope House Foundation is the only organization in Virginia that supports adults with developmental disabilities exclusively in their own homes.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with catastrophic diseases. Patients accepted at St. Jude are treated regardless of the family’s ability to pay.

Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Hampton Roads connects caring adult mentors with children from single-parent homes in order to help children achieve their greatest potential.

Since 1965, The TBA Scholarship Foundation has provided more than $1 million in financial assistance and has helped more than 338 students attend the four-year college or university of their choice.
