A large part of a New Urbanist neighborhood is its walkability - not just to neighboring houses or the beach, but to shops, restaurants, coffee houses, jobs, and more. And East Beach is no exception. Currently, 20,000 square feet of commercial and retail space are under development on Pretty Lake Avenue, on the ground floor of East Beach Villas at Pretty Lake. Additional amenities are in the planning stages at the western edge of the development along Shore Drive. In fact, East Beach's Master Plan proposes a total of 150,000 square feet of commercial and retail space.
